When a video fails

A video can fail, for example when a page doesn’t load or a step can’t be done. The video’s page says why, and a failed video costs nothing.

Owners, admins and the person who made the video can choose Edit and try again on a failed or cancelled video. The form opens with the video’s request filled in, and the app stays the same. Change what the video should show, its length, voice or style, then choose Try again.

A new try is quoted and paid like a new video. If you have no credits, it can use a free video. Earlier tries stay listed under Attempts on the video’s page, with why each one failed or was cancelled.

Re-shoot a finished video

Owners, admins and the person who made the video can change a video that’s ready. Choose Re-shoot with changes, edit the request, then choose Re-shoot. The current video stays live until the new one is ready. Its share link stays the same.

While you have credits, a re-shoot is paid from them, even if the video you’re replacing was a free one. A video that was paid for always needs credits to re-shoot. Only a free video can be re-shot as another free video, and only when you have no credits.

Cancel a video

While a video is being made, its page has a Cancel button, and the video stops as soon as you use it. Cancelling is free until we’ve rehearsed your demo. After that it costs 0.25 credits, so Cancel asks first: choose Cancel video to stop it, or Keep going. Cancelling a free video never costs anything.

Square and vertical

The square and vertical versions are made after the landscape one. If one of them couldn’t be made, the video’s page offers Retry other formats. Retrying them is free.

What each costs

• Edit and try again: quoted and paid like a new video, or a free video if you have no credits.
• Re-shoot with changes: paid from credits whenever you have any, even for a free video. With no credits, only a free video can be re-shot, as another free video.
• Cancel: free until we’ve rehearsed your demo, then 0.25 credits.
• Retry other formats: free.
