Getting started
Find your way around the dashboard, learn what credits and free videos are, and make your first demo video in three steps.
The dashboard
After you sign in, you land on the Dashboard. The sidebar takes you to Videos, Apps, Billing and Settings. Billing is there only for owners and admins. On a phone, the same links sit in a row at the top, and the menu button holds the rest.
The Dashboard opens with four numbers: Videos made, Minutes made, Credits left and In progress. Below them is your video library, then what is In production right now, and your Connected apps.
At the bottom of the sidebar are New video, Refer a friend and Help and docs, which brings you here.
Your first video
Until your first video is ready, the Dashboard shows a Getting started list. Each step is crossed off when it’s done. The first two steps are for owners and admins. Anyone in the workspace can do the third, except for an app set to forget its sign-in after each video: in the dashboard, only owners and admins can start videos of that app. Through your AI assistant, anyone in the workspace can start one and gets a sign-in link. See Connecting an app.
- Connect your app: tell us its address and how to get in. See Connecting an app.
- Pass the connection test: we open your app the way a video will, and show you what we saw.
- Create your first video: say what it should show, then pick a length and a voice. See Making a video.
Credits and free videos
One credit pays for one minute of finished video, rounded up to the nearest tenth of a minute.
Each workspace starts with 3 free videos. Each one is up to 60 seconds long and carries a small watermark, and you can make one every 24 hours. Free videos are used only while you have no credits. The Free videos card on the Billing page shows how many are left.
Free videos are also limited per person and per app. You get 3 free videos in all, across every workspace. That includes free videos you made in workspaces you’ve since left or deleted. Each app’s domain gets 3 free videos in all, whoever makes them. Its subdomains share them: app.example.com and docs.example.com both count as example.com.
Videos made through the API or an AI assistant are always paid from credits, never free.
Buy credits as a one-time pack or a monthly plan. See Billing and credits.
Where things live
- Videos: every video in the workspace, with filters and search.
- Apps: the apps you film, how we sign in and what a video may change.
- Billing: your balance, packs and plans, and receipts.
- Settings: Profile, Workspace, Team, API, Connected assistants and Danger zone. See Team and developer settings and Using the MCP.
